To enjoy Try-Me Coffee, order directly online from our community roaster or visit one of the coffee shops and restaurants we roast for. We’ve roasted in the same spot in the Bywater for a century, where neighbors still stop by for their beans. These days, we also ship nationwide, but we stay true to our roots: no mass production, no grocery store shelves, just coffee through the New Orleans community.

Our coffee is priced between $10-$14 per pound for personal orders, which is an incredible value for our quality and craftsmanship. You will typically pay much more at the grocery store for mass-produced coffee sold in bags less than a full pound. So how do we do it? As a heritage roaster with 100 years of experience, we’ve maintained high-quality equipment that helps keep our operating costs low. But it’s also a deliberate choice. As a wholesale roaster, we want to keep smaller orders affordable for our community. It’s a commitment to making great coffee accessible to everyone we serve. Yes. We roast your coffee to order because we want you to have it at its best: fresh, aromatic, and full of flavor. Still, we know folks appreciate convenience. We always keep a pound of our customer favorites on hand to purchase: Premium Colombian Blend and French Roast Colombian Blend, both ground and ready for a typical drip coffee maker. These are freshly roasted each week.

For everything else, place your order by noon, Monday through Friday, and we’ll have it ready the same day. Explore our First-Time Ordering Guide to learn more about our ordering process (we do things differently, but it's simple, we promise).

At Try-Me Coffee, your coffee isn’t sitting on a shelf—it’s roasted just for you. Place your order by 12pm, Monday through Friday, and we will roast it that same day. All orders are ready within 24 business hours or less—often sooner. To purchase a bag of Try-Me Coffee, please order online.

We offer the following grind options:

• Whole Bean: Best for those who prefer to grind fresh at home.
• Drip Grind: A medium grind, ideal for traditional coffee makers.
• Coarse Grind: Perfect for French press or cold brew.

We also offer various other grind types and are happy to accommodate specific requests. Simply leave a note in the shopping cart section.

Yes! Our bags are biodegradable, designed to return to the earth that gives us our coffee beans. First, remove the tin tie and label (it peels off easily), then toss it in your compost pile. At Try-Me Coffee, sustainability means caring for where we live in the Ninth Ward, a neighborhood shaped by environmental challenges like flooding and climate change. Yes! You can purchase a gift card here. All gift cards are sent by email for quick and easy delivery. If you'd like to email it directly to someone, just check "I want to send this as a gift," add a message, and schedule the email delivery date. You'll also get a receipt for your records. To add a request, go to the cart section in the top right corner, and you’ll find a special requests section at the bottom. Kindly note, once you move to the checkout screen, the special requests section will no longer be visible, so please add your request while in the cart.

At Try-Me Coffee, we take pride in our roast-to-order service. Once your order is submitted, the roasting begins, and we are unable to cancel or modify the order.

Because we roast your beans to order, we regretfully cannot accept returns. We understand that finding your favorite coffee is a journey, and we offer a Century Sampler to aid your quest. We are a coffee roaster, but not a coffee shop. For 100 years, we have roasted coffee for iconic restaurants and coffee shops in New Orleans and beyond.
