An update about free local delivery
We want to share an update about how local delivery will work in the new year.
- Beginning January 1, 2025, free local delivery will be available on orders of $60 or more.
- For our home zip code, 70117, free local delivery will be available on orders of $25 or more.
Why we’re making this change
Local delivery has always been part of who we are. For 100 years, Try-Me Coffee has roasted coffee for the New Orleans community and delivered it by hand, neighbor to neighbor.
This update allows us to continue paying fair wages to the people who deliver your coffee, while covering the rising costs of mileage, time, and fuel, and still keeping our prices honest and accessible.
And remember: If you prefer smaller orders, you can always pick up your coffee at our roastery at no charge, or have it shipped at cost with no markup.
How much coffee is that, really?
A $60 order usually works out to 4-5 pounds of coffee.
If you brew one pot a day in a standard coffee maker, that’s about the amount of coffee you’ll go through in a month. If you drink a little less, you’ll have plenty of fresh coffee waiting for you, ready when you are.
Will my coffee stay fresh?
Yes! Because we roast to order, our coffee stays fresh longer than most people expect.
Directly after roasting, the flavor continues to open up and settle into its peak, full and balanced at about 5-7 days after roasting. After that, whole beans remain at peak freshness for 6 to 8 weeks when stored properly, away from direct sunlight.
Ordering a few bags at once can comfortably carry you through a month or two, even if you’re a devoted daily coffee drinker.

We’d love to offer delivery to more neighborhoods in the future. For now, we’re focusing on the areas where we see the most orders. If you have friends nearby, tell them about us. When the time is right, we’ll be sure to share any updates.
