Your Try-Me Coffee Bags Are Compostable

Did you know your Try-Me Coffee bags are compostable? Just remove the label, toss the bag into your garden, and watch it turn into rich, dark soil.

We know coffee is part of your daily routine, and many families go through over a pound a week, that's 5 bags a month! These bags are designed to return to the earth, with supple fibers that feel soft in your hands and give back to the land that gives us our beans.

As a 100-year-old coffee roaster in South Louisiana, we know how much the environment means to our community. Our wetlands are the heartbeat of the U.S., vital to local ecosystems and coastal protection. Decades ago, we also ran a seafood shop in Try-Me, where much of the seafood we served was born in the wetlands’ rich, life-giving waters.

We do our part to protect the environment in more ways than one.

  • By roasting to order, we create zero waste in beans and bags.
  • Our coffee is never stockpiled on grocery store shelves, thrown away if it expires. The only way to get Try-Me Coffee is roasted-on-demand when you order it,  or brewed fresh at local restaurants and coffee shops.

We’re in this for the long run—building a neighborhood business that will be here for generations and families to come.

Decisions like this may seem little, but we see it as a way to connect to a future that will uphold the culture and environment of the city that we love.
