At the height of the New Orleans summer, when the air is so thick you can touch it, when the afternoon rain seems only to magnify the heat, when warmth rises from the elephant ears like a shimmering cloud, how do you escape?

For generations, the Try-Me family spent summers fishing the southern coasts, Grand Isle, Delacroix, Venice, Bay St. Louis. Years ago, we sold our catches in this very same building in the Bywater alongside our coffee. 

There are many summer days when we dream of making that escape.

We can't slip away to Grand Isle every day, but we can bring a touch of that relief to you with a cold brew.

And if you're lucky, perhaps this cold brew will be the first sip you take at the crack of dawn as you head out to fish: readying the lines, launching the boat, watching the summer sun rise over the water before the day gives itself over to the heat.

Either way, if your day begins with a glass of ice-cold coffee to take the edge off a Louisiana summer, we call that a good day.
