Try-Me Coffee is NOLA’s “Best-Kept Secret:” Biz Talks Podcast

Yesterday morning, we sat down with Biz Talks, the podcast by Biz New Orleans, to talk about Try-Me Coffee’s 100-year anniversary and why we’ve been called the “best-kept secret” in New Orleans.

It’s a quick and easy listen, perfect for a morning walk or drive. Tune in here.

For years, restaurants and coffee shops kept their roasters secret. But as businesses now embrace their connection to local roasters, they’re also recognizing that New Orleans has been a leader in coffee culture for generations. We’re proud to be part of that story.

We also discuss our goal to make local coffee accessible to our community. Delicious, local coffee should be part of everyone's morning, which is why we price ours fairly—$10–$14 for a full 16oz pound. It’s rare to find full pounds when most coffees come in 12oz bags, which is why we sell “full pounds at fair prices.”

Finally, we talk about what makes our coffee different. It’s never sitting on a shelf gathering dust—we roast it fresh when you order it. And when you’re done, our compostable bags are designed to give back to the earth that gives us our coffee.

Be sure to check out the podcast to hear more about Try-Me Coffee's story.
